Set Online Backup so it will shutdown the computer when done

Thread needs solution

I have Online Backup set to run at 10:30PM each night, which is usually after I'm done using the computer, so I'd like for it to shutdown the computer when done.

I can do thsi if I wait around until the backup starts then check the Shutdown when done box, but I want this to be permanent so I can just turn off the display and walk away knowing it will shutdown when the online backup has sompleted.

Any way to do this? I'm using ATI 2010.

Hello Ztruker,

Let me answer your question.

I regret to inform you that currently it's impossible to schedule a shutdown after the online backup ends. However, I've forwarded your request to the responsible department and probably this feature will be implemented in the future versions of Acronis True Image Home.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

Thanks. I sort of figured that was the case but I appreciate your forwarding it as a future feature.

I found a way to do this.

I use ATI 2010 to do incremental backups to a 2nd internal HD. I also use Online backup for my data only. I was doing the incremental first then the Online. Switched them around and added a post shutdown command

shutdown /s /t 60

and now the computer shuts down when the backup completes. This only works if you have the full ATI installed and not just the Online Backup software.

Hello Ztruker,

Yes, it is the only workaround possible in such case. Anyway, I've already notified responsible person about the feature you requested.

Thank you.
