Shutdown after backup of 4 partitions

Thread needs solution

I've created 4 tasks to backup the 4 partitions defined on my PC .

To perform a shutdown after finishing all the backup tasks I've defined the option

C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s .

It doesn't work as I expect . The PC shuts down after finishing the first backup task .

Hello Ulrich Koch,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

In this case, you should define last task with option to shut down PC after completion.

Please keep in mind that full information about task options is available in 9.3.3 chapter of User's Guide, which can be downloaded here.

Thank you.

It's difficult to define what is the last task because True Image does not execute the tasks in the order in which they appears but in order of time of execution. You may suggest to schedule any backup in a different time, f.e. with an interval of few minutes, but in any case i think that the best solution is that the program must provide a GLOBAL OPTION of shutdown after all backups.
The discussion abbout the shutdown is difficult because it's depends by many factors, for example the option to repeat a backup every xxx hours: in this case a shutdown is a nonsense.
But if i simply want to execute 4/5 task and at the end shutdown the computer the solution is to put a global check box above the list of the activities f.e.: "ShutDown after all backups", or similar.
Ciao

Bruno,

Do you have all your tasks scheduled to start at the same time or have you staggered them? If you've staggered them, I would have thought it possible to add the shutdwon command to the last one, or don't they run in succession?

Your other alternative at this moment might be to use the Windows scheduler to shutdwon Windows after the task have finished.

Perhaps if you could post how you have your tasks scheduled other suggestions could be made.
