Single Backup Validation

Thread needs solution

OK, I'm old school, being a backup fanatic since my first 8086 processor. I have always done SINGLE, FULL-DISC backups, so when that inevitable crash occurs, I just restore the image and I'm off on my merry way again. I do daily backups and keep a weeks worth, and I always validate my backups when they are completed.

I understand that incremental and differential backups need to have entire chains validated, but single scheme backups DO NOT, so I was hoping that Acronis finally fixed this in 2015, but that doesn't seem to be the case. On my desktop which backs up to internal drives, the increased time because of this validation function is not a problem, but it is a horrible slowdown for laptops that backup to NAS devices, resulting in > 12 hr backup cycles.

I want to go back to "the good old days when TIH just validated the single, full-disc TIB that I just completed. Would someone please tell me that they have resolved it and my frustration is one of "updating 2014 to 2015," and the "old" validation scheme? Or would someone at Acronis please hear our cries and allow us to "turn off" the "all version validation scheme" for single, complete backups?? I am seriously considering dumping Acronis for another backup program if this is still the case.
