Single physical computer, multiple soft computers - licensing?

Thread needs solution

Hi

I use HyperOS to operate 3 independent OSes on the same physical computer. I have 2 WIN XPs and one Win 7. Because of the way that HyperOS works these appear as completely different "computers" despite being located on a single physical unit!

I have ATIH 2012 installed on one of the WinXP systems. I installed it onto the Win 7 area and it is now saying that I have exceeded the number of licences for my computer (transfer or remove).

As it is only going on to the same physical unit and I can only use either the Win7 or WinXP "computer" at one time I believe that the one license should cover any use on that one physical computer.

I can understand why ATIH 2012 is fooled by this but I wonder if anyone can suggest how I can get the Acronis license server to understand that this is the same SINGLE physical device.

Thanks for any help (also applies to my Disk Director!)

Hmm, somethng of a special case. point is to fool software into thinking a virtual machine is a speaparet physical machine -- and appratenly it does so rather well.

At a minimum, you could resort to the bootcd. Not a solution, but a duct-tape type workaround.

Alternatively, you could try to find an older version of ati that doens't use the on-line repeat activation software.
