Single Version Backup Mode

Thread needs solution

I chose the Single Version Backup Mode because it seemed the easiest to implement on my system. The description of the single version process says that a new backup overwrites the last backup written. That doesn't seem to be happening. When I check to see if a backup ran I find 2 backup files not 1. I have limited drive space. Am I missing something?

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your post.

Could you get back to me with the system report so that I can take a look at the program logs, they will be able to tell us why the original backup is not deleted.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hello Robert,

Thank you very much for the update.

I checked the program logs and found this error: "Failed to open data stream". It means that the information about this specific in the program backup database has gone corrupt. I would recommend to use the solution from this KB article and if you continue to experience this problem, please collect a new system report and contact our Support team.

Let me know if you need additional help please.

Thank you.
