size of disk backups

this may seem a silly question but i want to backup my disk its currently a 750gb with 400gb used when i back it up with ATH 2010 the backup is roughly 400gb is this usual, I'm sure when i used to use paragon it compressed the backup ??

The default backup of True Image does some compression but the amount you get depends on what is on your drive. If the majority of the drive has movies, music and picture files, these are already in compressed format so these will occupy the same amount of space in the backup file.
