Slow boot time

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have just replaced my HDD with an SSD but am rather disappointed at the lack of boot speed improvement. Having captured a boot using xbootmgr I see 'auto_reactivate.exe' in the 'Process Lifetimes' graph. It runs for ~36 seconds. Can anyone confirm a) this is part of ATIH, b) it should be active for this duration? My processor doesn't actually appear to be doing much while this is running.

Thanks.

I decided that, since I have the rescue media CD sitting on my PC, I really didn't need Startup Recovery Manager. Disabling it has removed 'auto_reactivate.exe. from my boot log, and speeded up my boot time, so my suspicions were correct.
