I have just reformatted and recovered my C:\ disc using Acronis 11 and was astonished to find that it took 25 hours! In the past, with an identical setup, it has usually taken about 2-3 hours.
I also noticed that it took an extraordinary time (~15 minutes) at the very start to find the backup data file (tib) on my external disc. The PC (Vista) appears normal in other respects.
Any ideas?

Also, am I right to assume that all pre-existing data on the C:\ disc will be erased? But will it also be reformatted using the Acronis starter disc?
