Small question, can you delete files inside image?

Thread needs solution

I accidently forgot to delete 2 iso files which are 15 GB total which is substansial.

Can I safely delete them out of an excisting acronis made image, if so how?

You cannot remove the files from the archive, but you can remove them from the backup.

Here is what I mean: when you mount an image in read-write, delete a file from the mounted volume, and then disconnect the image, you will see that ATI has created a new TIB file, which is equivalent to an incremental backup.

If you were to restore that backup, you would not restore your ISOs. But you have not decreased the size of you backup files. The original IBT image has not been changed. Only an incremental image has been created to reflect the file deletion(s).

Ah I see so it makes like a pointer that it should keep out those files when recovering... Ok thanks I know enough.
