snapAPI included in new update or how does this work

Thread needs solution

Hello,

In the past I had some issues with making an image of my raid 0 ( 2x intel x-25 m postville 160GB) so I asked for support. It was told to me I needed to update my Snap API to snap API 5.07. Almost a half year later, now, I needed to reinstall my system due to virus but couldn't due to a MBR error @ bootup !! :(

So there I was, mad, unprepared and not having a backup sollution.

So back online now.... after 26 hours non stop of installations. (Since I have a music/graphic studio with tons of programms variable locations and plugins.) I am wondering if this programm can give me what I need? My guts say "no ofcourse not" at the moment since this above accident occured.

My question. I just updated it to the latest version with the installer. BUT what latest version of the API do I need to have? Is it still 5.07? Cause I can't find any answere for that (or is snap API included in this programm? (or is it something which comes with an OS?) )

On my account page I downloaded the newest bootable cd. I hope that's what I need to do? So it matches up my current version of ATI home 2010?

Can anyone help me understand the path:

Acronis updated, api updated, boot disk updated, and how to restore with the boot disk on what disk (the unallocated one or the snall windows reserverd part?)

thanks!

Hello Alex,

Let me shed some light on your concern.

1. The build number of SnapAPI driver included in the latest build of Acronis True Image Home 2010 is #517, so you don't need to update it manually.

2. The ISO image you've downloaded from your account is the latest version of our bootable disc that allows you to restore your images.

3. Actually, there are no any differences in user interface or steps to perform to restore your backups with a bootable CD or within Windows. I may recommend you to have a look to the Section 7 of GroverH's guides to have the detailed instructions on how to restore.

Please reply to this thread if you need any further assistance.

Thank you.
