Software serial #'s and install

Thread needs solution

TI 2013

I'm still having what appear to be rights problems writing images to a networked machine.

I want to test by reinstalling the program but I hate going through the process since my current copy is always an upgrade version requiring the 2 serial numbers...the original and the current and determining which original # is the correct one is a trial and error thing (my bad for not keeping better records).

Before attempting, I'm wondering if I take the time to download from the website under my account whether under those circumstances the install will only ask for my current serial number or possibly not ask at all.

Anyone know the answer to this?

I believe you are correct. It will not ask for both. Try looking in the TI Help/about and see if 2013 lists the serial. The 2014 does. that would give you a chance to copy/paste the serial from your online 'Acronis Account knwing the correct number to use.

Don''t forget, there is also the REPAIR option. Start the install again with the installation file and you will be pesented with the REPAIR option.
This will overwrite the existing without any need for serial.
This is not as good as a using the cleanup tool (signature 4 below) but using the tool would require the entry of both serials.
If you need the serials, be sure and do the copy (ctrl C) and paste(ctrl V) routine.

If you should go the re-install route, try installing using the "Run as Admin" routine.
