Solved - Issue with creating a backup with True Image Home 2012

For anyone experiencing an issue like this:
- Had been successfully using True Image Home 2012 to create full backups to an external hard disk for some time.
- Inexplicably attempting to do a new backup, Acronis True Image Home 2012 began giving error messages along the lines of couldn't recognize operating system, or had a variety of errors attempting to get started.

I visited the forum here and read various ideas. I didn't succeed when I tried some of those.

Solution that worked for me:
- I did a complete recover from my most recent successful backup that had been from a couple weeks prior.

I suspected it was related to a Windows update that came in between the two backups, without any evidence, that was a hunch only.

I restored from the backup and the Windows update rolled in again and installed again.

That said, it worked fine.

The restore put me right back into a working mode. Everything's fine now.

That was the way I got past the errors that I mentioned at the top of the message.
