[SOLVED] Upgrading from Windows 8.x to Windows 10 CTP b9926 TI 2015 mounting won't work initially

Thread needs solution

As brought up by the user Joey,
there is an issue that the Mounting functionality will be broken when upgrading Windows 8.x to Windows 10 CTP b9926. A reinstallation / repair installation will fix the issue however.

This should be investigated. Refer error message attached.

I know what happens. The Acronis Tib Mounter in Device Manager does not survive a Microsoft sysprep. The same thing happened when I created Windows To Go with Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition. I don't see how Acronis could fix this. It is a Microsoft issue.

It can also be fixed by exporting the registry Key: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\ACRONISDEVICES from a working Win 8 system and importing that Key into the Win 10 registry.

Thankfully solved!
