"span" a backup across multiple drives

Hi - I know this has been discussed before but I cannot discern the correct answer. Can TIH 2015, or any version, "span" a backup across multiple drives WITHOUT user intervention? I want to backup a 4TB drive to one 4TB and one 3TB. WIth the amount of disk space actually used I should be able to do differentials and consolidations in 7TB. I don't want to have to be there to tell it what drive to use when TIH runs out of space.
