Specific question about Secure Zone

Thread needs solution

I'm ready to restore the image of the hard drive onto a new hard drive. My hard drive had crashed. I can't remember if I created a Secure Zone when I set up Acronis TI 11 Home two years ago.

Specific Question: Is there anything helpful I should do now...just in case I somehow forgot to create a Secure Zone when I installed Acronis TI 11?

Thanks

Hello Phil!

I will be glad to help you with any questions!

Unfortunately due to the lack of information it is difficult to understand the details of your scenario, but anyway it is not critical to have Acronis Secure Zone installed in case you are going to recover onto another drive:

Acronis Secure Zone is a hidden partition for storing the backups on the drive. Also it allows you to enable Startup Recovery manager (needed for recovery without Acronis Bootable Rescue Media and offsite) so in case of the OS crash you could boot your machine up, press 11 and recover the latest backup. In case you need to restore the image onto another HDD you will not need Acronis Secure Zone.

You can find more information about Acronis Secure Zone in the User's Guide chapter 3.3. and 10 - or give me additional detailes regarding the scenario you would like to proceed and I will provide you with more detailed information!

Thank you!
