Specified File Does Not Exist - cdp.metadata

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image 2015. It was working fine on my old laptop. I have a new laptop with Windows 8.1 on it. Loaded up Acronis, and it worked fine for the first two backups. Now it tells me that it can't find the first backup that was created. And, for whatever reason, it needs to find that before it can create a new backup? Why? It gives me a dialog box with "Retry" "Cancel" and "Browse". I select Browse, and it keeps coming back to the dialog saying Specified File Not Found. But I see the file, it just won't let me browse to get it.

The old backups are irrelevant now, since they are both more than a month old. Can I just delete them? But the system thinks that they exist. How can I delete them from the "database" and just start over again?

And, where is the cdp.metadata file? I can't find it.
