Speed of Acronis Cloud Server

Thread needs solution

Can someone tell me why the Acronis Cloud Server runs as slow as it does? I've have a constant 20 MB/s Upload Rate on my side yet NetMeter indicates a max of about 3.0 MB/s and slower than that much of the time for the Acronis server. That is abysmal performance for this day and age of cloud service technology! I have a 35 GB folder that is uploading, but at this rate it will be Christmas before I see it on the Cloud Server side. I was thinking about subscribing for a year's worth of service because $50 for 250 GB is a damn good price; BUT after watching the upload speed for a while, I will have to change my mind. Are there some bandwidth settings that I am missing somewhere in the 2013 application?

I have the same experience. Glacial speed when using the Cloud backup. Right now mine is showing only 54 kb per sec with a estimated month and a half to finish a upload that should have completed in a couple of hours at worst.

I too have noticed very poor transfer speeds. Jobs that a few weeks ago only took a few hours, now take several days....

Hi Derek,

thank you for you for your posting.

Our datacenters are located in Missouri and Massachusetts, United States and in Strasbourg, France.

Your backups are stored in Massachusetts.

Please use the following tool to check your upload speed and select any city in Massachusetts as a destination.

If the resulting speed is very different from which our product reports, please contact our support team and we will be glad to help you with investigation.

Thank you!

Hi Anna,

I just went to OOKLA and live in Massachusetts and got the following speed test results:

Download Speed: 29.67 MB/sec
Upload Speed: 6.12 MB/sec
Ping Time: 14 msec
ISP: ComCast

I have started a 30 day trial Cloud Subscription with Acronis and only get a 39.06KB/sec upload speed. That's pretty bad! I have cleared out the firewall and use Webroot Security Anywhere protection. Have used other Clouds services, but usually get speeds approaching 5MB/sec or better sometimes. Trying to keep everything at Acronis as I have their Acronis Backup 11.5 for PC (I am a standalone workstation) on Windows 7 60-bit.

Is there anything I am missing here or is this speed all there is?

Chris Tocci

So slow, that even if after 10 days my backup is ready, the next cloud backup is 3 days waiting. My data goes through fiber, a constant upload 100Mbit/s (12,5 mb/sec) up- and down (symetric). The backup is 15/20 mbps. That is verry disappointing. This is off no use.
