SSD Clone issues. Blinking cursor on startup

Thread needs solution

Hi,
Just now, I bought Acronis True Image Home to clone my SSD Hard disk to another higher capacity SSD hard disk.

Whenever I run the clone option:
Acrnois says computer need to restart to finish this operation.

But, when computer restarts, I just see "Acronis loading ... " (something like that)
and the cursor keep blinking there forever. I had to restart manually (using restart button) to get to windows again.

As per the HD setups:
The source SSD is on a RAID partition (It has Intel Rapid Response enabled for my mechanical drive).
And the Target SSD is on a non-raid partition.

This issue is driving me crazy. My source SSD is running out of space, I need to clone the operating system to the new (target) SSD soon.

Before re-doing all the installation all over again, just wanted to check if buying Acronis was any useful deed.

Thanks!

Are you starting the clone from within Windows or the recovery CD?

What does TIH show your drive setup as, is it seeing them separately or as a RAID?

I assume both drives are S-ata, in which case I would also assume you are running them using AHCI in the BIOS, to clone the OS drive (I'm assuming that is the drive you are wanting to clone) you may have to temporarily change the BIOS setting to legacy or IDE , this of course would break the RAID. However, it might just be you need to start from the recovery CD (which is always advised for an OS partition).
