SSD restored partitions oddly numbered
Using TI Home 2014 on Windows 7, I recently restored a couple of partitions to a newly blanked and initialized SSD. The two partitions were the tiny "system reserved" partition and the the main C: partition for the OS. I wanted to re-size the C partition, so I didn't restore the MBR in the same step. After those 2 partitions were successfully restored, I then restored the MBR and disk signature.
NOTE: The backup images had originally been made from this same SSD.
I then looked to be sure the offset was OK. When I use either diskpart or the wmic command, the tiny "system reserved" partion shows up as the second partition, and the the large partition as the first one. i.e., in diskpart, the reserved partition is showing as "Partition 2" and the C partition as "Partition 1." Likewise in wmic, the large partition shows as Partition 0, and the small reserved partition as Partition1. The offsets for both appear to be normal valid amounts.
The numbering of those partitions seems backwards to me. However, when I use Windows Disk Management console to view the disk allocations, everything seems to be in order in the graphical display there, with the small partition at the first of the drive, followed by the large partition for the OS, and finally by a small amount of unallocated space at the end for overprovisioning.
I've attached an image file showing the numbering. Is there any explanation for this behavior, and is there any reason for concern? I supposed I could blank the SSD and re-do the restoration to see if it comes out any differently.
Thanks for any info.
