Startup recovery after pressing f11 does not work

Thread needs solution

Hi

Trueimage home version 10 (build 4942)

After pressing f11 at start up i get "starting Acronis True Image Home", then "Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000008" and a page full of stuff. Have to power off the computer to restart. Wandered round the knowledge base on the support site but can't find anything.

Backup and recovery seems to be working OK when booted up but obviously it would be good to have the f11 system working in case of future problems.

Booting to the Full Mode version of TI 10 from theTI CD works okay? If you haven't tested that the TI CD boots properly, sees the drives properly, and can successfully validate your backup image, you need to.

The "F11" mode (the ASRM) and the Full Mode version are basically the same. Usually, if one works, the other works.

Douglas,

If you click on edit under your thread starter, you will see on the left hand side a drop down box, which will allow you to 'transfer' your two posts to the TI forum. Don't select leave shadow copy, as then you'll end up with everything everywhere. :)
