Startup Recovery Manager Vs UEFI

Thread needs solution

Does the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager 2015 work good if it's UEFI based machine?

Is there any suggestion to follow to avoid to break the boot as occured to me?

I recommend against the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. If activated, it modifies your boot files, which can cause problems with multi-boot managers and other low-level disk utilities. I prefer to use the bootable ATI Rescue Media.

I also recommend against using the Acronis Secure Zone.

Another unexpected and very bad effect is..

If I backup my desktop in (Windows) hibernated state, even if with ATI Rescue Media, then after the backup end when I restart the PC it can't launch Windows anymore! It seems like ATI "writes" something in the boot area..

This is very surprising to me: I always thought that a backup doesn't imply any change to the drive to backup! But this isn't true.. any idea?
