stop acronis from running

Thread needs solution

I have two identical 1tb disks
there are 7 partitons, including system & hp

I do a combination of Acronis 2013 drive cloning, and partiton scheduled backup.

Sometimes I need to boot from second disk 'c'. Always have trouble with Acronis 2013 kicking in with scripts! Checking dates and times!

How do I boot, open acronis & cancel all the activity, from drive 2 right away? I can't find a neat way!!

First of all, it is not recommended to have a disk and its clone in the system at the same time. Windows can get really confused. If you do a clone, disconnect the clone from the system until you use it for real.
I am guessing the behavior you see from Acronis is a small example of the confusion between disk IDs and logical disk information stored in the registry.

Not an answer, but thanks for the suggestion.

So say I only have one disk online and my machine has been off for several days.
When I start up how do i stop all acronis activity - turn it off right away?

When the computer starts, some services are activated:
- Non-stop Backup
- Sync Agent
- Scheduler services.

The scheduler services are the only ones necessary to operate ATI manually (of course they are necessary for scheduled backup).
If a backup is considered missed (because the disk you started is now running a scheduler that missed a lot of backups because the disk was off-line), then, if you have requested ATI to run missed backup on startup, ATI will run these backups.

Also, when the computer starts, some startup executables are launched (TIB mounter, TrueImageMonirto.exe). These can be disabled. I wouln't disable the scheduler helper if you need to track logon activity and trigger backups based on this.

thank you, that will solve my problem
