Stuck in Acronis

Thread needs solution

Hi, i'm using Windows 10 and i tried to clone my ssd to an usb hdd. I select everything automatically and Acronis said it has to restart. Booted in Acronis operation process and Acronis shows this error: "one or more removable disks may not have started at the moment." When i click yes, Acronis shows this message again and when i click no, Acronis restart the system and same message appears. If i click cancel same happens too. System doesn't boot further! Acronis operation process only...

I departed the ssd that i want to clone, and mount to an another pc via usb and it doesn't show any partition in it. Only a GPT with no further detail.

How can i revert my data from that situation? Is it all gone?

Greetings,

First,  its recommended that cloning be peformed using boot media..  and cloning to a USB device is not recommended.

It would be helpful for us to know what version/build of Acronis you are using to ensure you get correct information regarding the cloning operation and file system support.

If i'm not mistaken it was ATI 2015. I'm not sure what version it was, since i can't boot into Windows i can't look for it. If there is a way i can confirm please let me know.

I'm eagerly waiting for a reply. Thanks in advance.

If you registered the product, you can look in your Acronis User acct.  There, you can download ther latest build you own free.

If you purchased a retail copy, your installation CD is a bootable copy of the product.  It might not be the latest, but can get you going in a pinch.

Remember, while you can initiate cloning in windows, bootable media is the preferred method.  Beyond this, disk image back ups are safer and more flexible.

Please see the follow thread, my posts #1 & #3 stating why Disk Image Back Ups are preferred.
