Stuck--Acronis won't close

Thread needs solution

Acronis Home 2010, Windows 7. Backups have been going along fine, and even yesterday, the monthly full image was created as usual. However, see the attachment: for the past 4-5 days, I have been getting the task bar message at log on. It seems to keeps renewing itself, rather than cancelling as indicated. If I open Acronis, I get what you see in the screen shot, and none of the windows will close. I have had to close the application from the Task Manager.

Do I need to uninstall and then reinstall the whole shebang, or is there a way out of this?

Thanks.

The program is waiting for user input. The program is asking the user to locate the first full backup associated with this task..

If this continues, you can cease to run the monthly full image and create a new task.

You can also restart the installation program and choose repair.

Thanks. I should have mentioned that I did try the help the program, navigating it to the latest full backup it had created. That did not seem to satisfy it at all. I'll try the repair option you indicated. Again, thanks for your reply.

After the repair, start a new task pointing to a new empty sub-folder. Do not reuse the old task. It can be deleted from the list.
