Suddenly ATI Home 2011 Build 6597 Won't Make Full Backups...
Recently, whenever I go to make a full backup I have a ")" [end bracket] at the beginning of the file name line in the "Browse For Destination Dialogue" box and, when I remove the ")" and type in a file name, when the file is created it has "(1)" at the end of the file namer like this: File_ Name_(1).tib {Still can't figure out why v2011 puts in the underscores in the file name, but that's not an issue.}
No matter what I've tired - uninstalling and reinstalling v2011 build 6597; repeatedly resaving my Backup Preferences for Full; doing a backup using the Rescue CD [the file created doesn't have the "(1)" at the end] and then another from the Windows Dialogue - whatever, I cannot get rid of the ")" [end bracket] at the beginning of the "Browse For Destination Dialogue" box and I cannot save a backup in Windows without the "(1)" at then end of the file name. When I delete the backup using the right click options, the "Backup Deletion" box asks if I want to delete all versions and settings of the backup, which, to me, means it's an incremental not a full backup.
Any ideas - I'm fresh out.
Thanks,
Bruce Hayward

Colin,
My apologies for being in the wrong forum. I've moved the post to the ATI Home forum.
To answer your questions:
No ")" with the Rescue CD when the dialogue comes up. (The entire interface using the Rescue CD looks like ATI Home 2010, not 2011.)
1 Image Name per backup.
It's a full disk image.
No tasks were imported or left over that I'm aware of. I don't run Scheduled Tasks, I manually do a full disk backup nightly.
Thanks,

I know this problem was noticed with an earlier build, but I can't find the resolution or workaround in the forum. I haven't succeeded in duplicating it on my system.
I'm sure my brain will kick into gear at sometime.
The only two things I can suggest at the moment is to either open up the task files and see if the ')' is in there, and delete it or, download and use the task zapper to clear the database (uninstalling TI doesn't clear this) and then make new tasks and see if the pronlem comes back.
are the images being stored direct to a hard drive or via network or to a NAS?

Colin,
Thanks for this, I will download the task zapper and run it.
The Images are direct to an internal hard drive.

Task Zapper and the latest Scheduler, v461, didn't solve anything.
Colin, if you remember the issue you've forgotten please let me know.
