Thread needs solution

Took me 15 min to nagigate to place where I could purchase help!
Called and waited 20 min then hung up. The sheet say help from tel, chat, & email. NO Chat anywhere, email link sends me to support but no address. Customer Support errors on page. Has anybody tested the site with their spouse?

Not sure what issues you were having. Here's what I just did.
go to
http://www.acronis.com/support/index.html

put in your username/password and login

then click the "start here" push button found next to the "have questions" prompt.

choose your issue and product
THe next panel displayed contains 5 choices fro support the third one is
"use our livechat service"

Support is non-existent. I filed a support ticket 3 weeks ago and have yet to get a response. If someone can be available on chat instantly, but support by email is non-existent for 3 weeks, something is wrong with their procedure. Chat support told me to send my computer to a shop for a checkup. Nice... That's an easy escape out from providing support for a problem that is well known by many other users (BSOD's with the presence of a media card reader).

I have similar issues in that snapman.sys consumes 100% of one of my cores on the CPU. Its definitely a acronis issue as without snapman present I have no issues.

Hello all,

Thank you for using  Acronis Products

Marc if you have an inbuilt card reader, then disable it through Windows Device Manager:

1.      Hit Win-R to get to the command prompt;

2.      Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter;

3.      In the Device Manager window locate your card reader (it probably starts with letters SD, MMC etc);

Right-click on the card reader and select Disable.

I don't want to disable my media card reader. I use it regularly. I know this will resolve my BSOD's, but how can you possibly see this as a solution? ATI2010 is directly impacting my work if I have to give up on my media card reader!

Dmitry ... I hope this doesn't sound ornery but disabling the built in card readers is an unacceptable solution because some of us, like myself, need to use them on occasion.

I asked this question elsewhere and I'll ask it here as well, does the SnapAPI upgrade FIX (i.e., makes it go away forever) this BSOD problem. Furthermore, I think it would be helpful if Acronis acknowledge this problem in this forum and let everyone know their plans for fixing it.

Please add me to the same issue. About 50% of the time when I put an SD card in, I get a BSOD. I use the card reader all the time, so disabling the card reader is not an acceptable solution.

PLEASE LOOK AT PATCHING THIS!

Thank you.

I have just installed the 6696 build upgrade for TIH 2011.
I have downloade the Bootable Rescue disk but it does not work at all.
I have also downloaded the ATIH2011 en-US ISO disk and also this version does not work.
I guess that I need another type of Bootable rescue media.

very truly and expecting assistance

Joseph,
It would help if you were to identify which version of Windows and the brand/model of computer.

It might help if you were more specific than "it does not work." Does it see all your disks? etc etc etc.
