Sync Agent using significant memory

Thread needs solution

Why is Sync Agent using typically 13% of CPU constantly?

Is there a way to prevent this, for example by making it sync periodically?

Is it affected by other PCs not being online that also run TI? I don't sync outside the local network.

Have a read of this link. Default Sync might be at play here.

I'm not sure if I've fixed this, but I noticed it was trying to sync with multiple PCs of the same name (offline, too). I removed the extra ones, and it's settled down. I'll see how it is tomorow after it's done its nightly backups.

That certainly would be cause for high CPU usage. I would say it is a good bet that you have found the demon! Let's hope it does not return.

Now the backups have finished, the Sync Agent is back to being a constant cyclist: 12.49%. It can't be doing anything useful, so it must be in some kind of loop. I may disable it completely.

I would do just that, as long as you do not intend on using that feature it should not be a problem.
