Synchronisation - "Network Connection Problem"

A "network Connection problem" prevents synchronisation. The log file reports:
http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/ Event code: 0x019A0047, however there is no information for this error.
I suspect it is a firewall causing the connection problem as on some networks no such error shows, this being the case the question is, "what ports does TI2012 need open, and is there anyway to tell where TI is having its connection problem?"
