System Crash After Installation of TI Home 2010 Under Windows 7 Pro- Windows Recovery Process Needed to Restore System
We are experiencing system failure (blue screen crashes) after installation of the latest build (629) of TI Home 2010 on a 32-bit platform version of Windows 7. Windows built in restore process recovers to Windows (based on the last automatic restore point).
After working with tech support for more than two weeks we have no resolution. The following have been tried:
(1) ensure 2010 was installed after 2009 was removed via add/remove programs- completed
(2) run Acronis True Image Clean up Utility- tried; does not work under Windows 7
(3) Followed Tech support instructions to directly remove all entries from Registery of "Acronis"- completed with exception of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE_ACRONIS_SCHEDULER entry for "Acronis Scheduler" which states UNABLE TO DELETE SPECIFIED VALUES when attempting to delete this entry.
(4) Followed tech support instructions to install REVO application to "clean up" Acronis installs- no Acronis enteries found to remove.
We have tried to install the latest build twice and each time it causes a serious system crash forcing system recovery through Windows 7 boot System Recovery disc.
To date there has been no real progress made through tech support and no solutions. In fact we've been asked to use applications that don't even exist in Windows 7 (Dr. Watson, e.g.). I hope this forum may have other suggestions.
We have been using TI and upgrade each year for the past five years.
Many thanks!
