System Restore

Thread needs solution

I guess I am a dinosaur for still hanging on to ATI 2011: but it works well for me (Win 7 Home Prem. 64 bit ... more cherished "obsolescence") and has saved my arz several times.

I have thought about upgrading, but am put off by the dissatisfaction expressed by many posters.

Like the majority of users, I am not a computer whiz and am not interested in hi-tech functions like sync or cloud. I do however wish I could keep Win System Restore Points when backing up. They would be useful after recovering.

As much as anything else, that is a deal-breaker for me.

Why not try the trial version. Do be sure and perform an uptodte full backup before you try.

Acronis indicates you can upgrade the existing installation but if it were me, I would opt for using the cleanup utility first.

All new tasks should be created for any new version.

Sys restore points are not excluded unless you choose the exclusion feature and list them to be excluded.

The 2014 is much different than 2011 and you will have a learning curve.

I use it much like you do. I have online backup and sync-agent services stopped and disabled.

You will want to disable the "Scan for Backups" option is which automatically enabled by the installation.
