Task Management says - FAILED !!

I use true image home 2010.
Recently I noticed that every Sunday the record in Task Management says 'FAILED' - all other days were marked 'successful'.
This has now changed and everyday is marked 'failed'.

I have scheduled two backups per day. one goes to my drive D - the other to drive E.
This appeared to complete. Why does task management suggest otherwise?

There are any number of possibilities.
First, check your storage space and see if the available storage space is adequate.
Another possilitity could be you have file or disk errors. Check the disk for file and disk errors.
Run validation on the files you believe to questionable.
If you use email notification, access needed to your email sending.
Have your read the log files in detail?

I have noticed a further 'strange quirk'. When viewing Task management, I see that the task is reported failed before it has even taken place!
Let me explain - Earlier today, I looked at task management at 7-55am - the calender for 2nd march was already coloured red (Failed). Keep in mind that the scheduled backs up are not due until 9-00am and later.
Is this a case of a complete removal of the program - followed by re installation?
Is it a possibility that some schedule from a previous time has not been completely removed?
All answers appreciated.
