Task schedule every 3 weeks
Hello,
I have Ti 13 (Home 2010) installed, with many sceduled tasks, every 3 weeks.
I tried the TI-14 (2011) demo version, and found that there is no more schedule every "x" weeks.
More, all tasks imported from TI-13 to TI-14 are now scheduled every week, this means that all my tasks are now executed within one week and each week.
I did not find a way to execute some tasks every 3 weeks.
Am i now condemned to stay with TI13 for ever ??
Thanks for a quick answer.

Thanks GroverH for your answer,
The workaroud using Windows scheduler even if it works (no doubt about that) highlight the TI2011 regression from TI2010....
Poor user interface, missing functions like schedule every x weeks....
For the moment I will stay with TI 2010, and will switch later to another backup solution able to upgrade without loosing old functions.....

Hello,
Is there the possibility to schedule tasks every "x" weeks (like Ti 13 Home 2010) in the new build of Ti 14 (Home 2011) ??
If not, is there a plan to re-add this TI13 possibility, to TI14 and when ??? (I am still working with TI13...)
Thanks.

Jean,
Currently, the only option for a backup every x weeks is the workaround I listed in post #1 above. Using the Windows scheduler (as illustrated), you can achieve a backup every 3 (or X) weeks.
Acronis never indicates in advance the additions of new features so we will just have to wait and see. Your request has been made in the past and so we can hope......

Thanks GroverH for your answer,
I will wait the next release, to see if this scheduler problem is solved (and also if the user interface is improved)....
In the mean time, i will stay with TI13....

I think its a real cheek for Acronis to claim, "Enhanced scheduler – the completely redesigned scheduler makes scheduling much easier." under their description of the new features of ATI 2011
This is just not true!

As I listed in post #1, this type scheduling can be very easily accomplished using the Windows scheduler.
Many of the people posting on this forum have suggested that Acronis not supply a scheduler and for all users to use the Windows Scheduler for their scheduling needs.
I assume you are aware of the Monthly schedule option which lets you schedule
multi times during month and repeat next month on the same date(s). You could have a backup occur every 1st and 15th. The (date(s) would be the same each month but the day of week would differ each month.
The scheduler also provides for user to choose a backup date such as every 1st Saturday(Sunday) or every 2nd Saturday(Sunday) or every 3rd Saturday(Sunday) or every 4th Saturday(Sunday). The problem here is that there is only one choice so user has no choice of every 2nd or 3rd Saturday/Sunday, etc.
In my opinion, this was an oversight on their part or were unaware of the need for such an option. I am hopeful this will be added to future fixes.
