Task Scheduler error

Thread needs solution

I am using the trial version of Acronis Home 2010, Dutch version, build 5.092 on Windows 7 Enterprise.

Nearly a week I have struggled to run scheduled tasks, they threw errors every time.
I tried the installbat of scheduler_385_ABR10 to no avail.
Then I disabled hibernating in my setup, which made a difference.
For one reason or another Acronis maybe was unable to run with the system sleeping, although in my settings scheduled tasks are allowed to wake up the comnuter..... no idea , maybe an incompatibility with Windows 7?

Anyway, now I have the following weird message in the log for my scheduled task at 04:00 AM: I get the same error I had before when hibernating was enabled:

date April 13, 2010, 04.00.01
error: task scheduler can not execute choice, 0""}with GUID}, error 87 (Taskschedulere received a request with an invalid parameter)

and following this my log shows that 2 seconds later [date April 13, 2010, 4.0.0.3] the task runs as it should and is completed without errors

Can anyone explain to me what the first error means, how I can get rid of it and if/how it interferes with proper functioning of the acronis image process?
Thank you for your attention.

Hello Acros,

Let me shed some light on the issue you have.

Indeed, there are a lot of major changes sleep/hibernate system in Windows 7 (compared with Windows XP/Vista), so Acronis True Image can't wake PC up correctly. However, our developers are working to correct this issue.

As for the error message, most likely it occurs because of some task script corruption or due to Acronis Scheduler module malfunction. I may recommend you to to delete all scheduled tasks manually and check if the issue still persists:

- Download the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/schedmgr.exe file ;
- Start the Command Prompt;
- Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:

schedmgr task zap
schedmgr service stop
schedmgr service uninstall
schedmgr service install
schedmgr service start

This should delete all Acronis scheduled tasks on the PC.

You should manage your scheduled tasks from the scratch.

Please let me know if the issue still persists or if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
