Task Scheduling doesnt work

Thread needs solution

I understadn that thsi is a known issue with build 2010 - 6029. I therfore ran the supposed fix that can be found at - http://forum.acronis.com/content/1518. However as my screenshot shows this just generated a series of errors. I ran the batch file as a local administrator so I dont know why the tool generated permissions errors.

Thoughts?

No worries, I will help you to resolve the issue.

As you have noticed correctly - this issue is related to privileges, or if you do not have access to the file this update changes. Let's update scheduler manually, please find the instructions below:

Please do the following to resolve the issue with scheduling:

- Download the file;
- Open the command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd);
- Run the following command in the folder you saved the file to:

schedmgr service stop

- download and unpack the scheduler file;
- do not close the prompt window and copy the files to the
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2 folder (replace the files that are already there);

- go to the command prompt again and issue:
schedmgr service install
schedmgr service start

- close the command prompt and see if the issue persists.
