TI 2009 corrupts networking
During the investigation of a networking failure it was discovered that TI 2009 causes external network computers to loose access to files on the computer where TI is installed.
This has been verified in repeated tests of installs and uninstalls, using system restore to make doubly sure that the computer can be returned to the pre TI condition.
The error message that appears on the external computers when trying file access is attached.
My system no longer has TI installed, reliance is now on the TI recovery CD.
Looking forward to a fix

Hello David,
Thank you for using Acronis Products
Do the following to solve the issue:
- Run "regedit" command (Start -> Run);
- Find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters registry key;
- Increase the IRPStackSize value or create it and set to 18, if it does not exist.
This would help you resolve the problem.
Here is step-by-step description:
1.Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2.Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
3.Click Edit, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4.Type IRPStackSize, and then press ENTER to name the value.
Note Type IRPStackSize exactly as it is displayed. The value name is case sensitive.
5.Click Edit, and then click Modify.
6.In the Data Value box, type the value that is appropriate for the network, and then click OK.

Dimtry, many thanks that regedit fixed the problem.
I should add that it is necessary to reboot after changing the registry.
A prompt answer and solution.
It would seem that other little issues cleaned up, the HP5300 printer behaves better now!!!

I have experienced a similar problem with TI 2009 on Windows Vista Home Premium x64 SP2. After backing up files to a networked drive on another exact duplicate system that also has a licensed copy of TI 2009 and then booting with the bootable CD, I cannot find the backup image and sometimes asks me for authentication credentials. The backup file is set with "public" permissions on the networked drive and sometimes can be found and sometimes not. I am using the latest build for both TI and for the bootable media.
Honestly, I decided to use TI 2009 to keep these two systems that are exactly alike to be truly redundant in hardware and in software. I need this reliability as I am an I.T. director for a large organization and need a reliable and operational computer at home at all times. I chose Acronis because I thought it was a tested and relaible product. Not sure this is the case after many attempts to get the process to be repeatable.
Do you have such a registry edit for my version OS stated above?

The IRPStackSize fix is the same for Vista. You can try changing the value on both systems and see if it helps.
