TI 2010 Home Rescue Disk vs Bootable Media

Thread needs solution

Is the bootable Rescue/Recovery Disk that you can create after you install TI 2010 Home the same thing as the Bootable Media (.iso) that is available to you after you login to your Acronis account? I realize that the .iso file has to be burned to a CD first.

No, they're not the same.

The ISO download is based on ISOLinux. It usually contains more updated drivers. It also has a different menu with multiple options for troubleshooting.

Currently, there is a problem with the ISO version in that it can incorrectly detect the drive's geometry. This can cause problems when restoring.

If the standard version created using TI works correctly for you, you shouldn't need the ISO version.
