TI 2010; migrate to new HW
-Have True Image 2010 with Plus Pack Option
-Attempting to migrate to new HW with different chipset
-OS is WinXP Pro SP3
-Detailed Docs cannot be found on this process in Help or on the Acronis site
-Docs discuss 'WinPE v1.5' and assume that the users has such a thing.... but do not list that as a requirement in PlusPack... and provide no link to where this SW can be found.
-Any help will be highly appreciated!
Thanks,
Cliff Johnson

Hello Cliff,
I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.
Before restoring an image of your operating system, please ensure the following:
- You have Acronis Bootable Media with Acronis Universal Restore. If you do not, please do the following:
- Install Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack. See Installation of Acronis Plus Pack for Acronis True Image Home 2010;
- You have created Acronis Bootable Media (standard, WinPE, or BartPE) after the installation of Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack;
- You have a backup of a supported operating system. See Acronis Universal Restore of Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack: Supported Operating Systems;
- You have drivers for the hard disk drive controller or chipset drivers for the new computer. These drivers are critical for booting the operating system. You can download the drivers for your motherboard on the Vendor's web-site. Please note, if you downloaded the drivers in *.exe, *.cab, *.zip format, you should extract them first. The driver files should have the *.inf, *.sys or *.oem extensions.
Check the following KB article for step-by-step instructions how to restore the system to different hardware using Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thank you.

Thanks for all your help, Guys!
As it turned out, WINPE is NOT required and the 'Standard' approach worked fine. The only changed required was the new system did not recognized a USB HD from which to restore the TIB. Had to remove the SATA HD from the USB housing and hook it directly to the SATA controller. It was then recognized and the TIB restored to the new HD.
Once the new HD was booted into XP, I ran the motherboard chipset installer and all came up just right!!
This product is a truly amazing solution that allowed me to migrate a system that was 5+ years old with over 100 applications installed. The migration docs in the Help section could be a little more clear, though :-)
