TI 2010 - no direct ext4-support, only sector-by-sector?
Is it true, that Acronis TI2010 does not support the ext4-filesystem directly, only sector-by-sector?
Ext4 is used by nearly all new versions of Linux as the default file system now.
Do you plan to build in the direct support for ext4 in an update for TI2010?
I hesitate to ask you for an update for ext4 for TI11, the last fast and easy to use TI by my opinion.
Sector-by-sector images we can also execute with dd or any of the numerous other imagers.
Don't wait too long. Remember that other imagers went by, e.g. Drive Image by Powerquest.
As I write to you now, I want to tell you about my sadness about your changes of the user interface on TI after TI11. TI11 had the last fast and usual graphical surface of TI. Many other users think the same.
It is very obstructive to be dependent from the TI-internal database when handling the images.
Former one could easily erase some of the incremental images to get space free. The TI-task that did incremental images immediately synced.
Now the user has trouble after deleting some incremential images. The user has to correct the trouble with a lot of manipulative operation.
Thank you,
Hans-Peter Baule.
