TI 2011 Backup Not Work

Thread needs solution

I just installed TI 2011 on a Win 7 64 systemand have 2 problems;

1. When backing up a 30GB disk partition to an external ESata drive with 200GB of free space, I receive an error message that the backup location, which has200GB of free space, does not have enough space. If I click on IGNORE the backup continues successfully.
I have the same problem when I attempt to backup to an internal drive

2. The backup/Validation times are slower than TI 2010

I contacted CHAT HELP with the problem and they kept me online for aver 30 minutes without resolution of the problem. They said that they would email me but never did

eSata drives can be problematical, having said that ti wouldn't account for your problem with an internal drive Unless there is some hardware based problem and you'd probably know about that by now.

However, have you tried making an internal image with the eSata drive disconnected?

The error message mentioned can be due to a low level driver not working properly, try a repair install of TI 2011.

At this time, I'd also suggest making a rescue CD, just to make sure that it will boot your PC and see all your drives.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your posts.

Colin, I appreciate your kind help.

Joseph,

I will definitely assist you.

If I may add to Colin's suggestion, the issue with the ESata drive can be caused by our low-level drivers responsible for disk operations. I will send you a private message with the download link. Please install it and kindly get back to me with the results.

We are currently working on investigating validation issues, some Customers report that the completion time is not displayed properly.

I am terribly sorry about the experience you had with our Support team. I was not able to find any open cases related to this issue, it would really help me if you can get back to me with the case number so that I can forward it to our Management team.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
