TI 2011 DOESN'T CONVERT TIB to VHD

Thread needs solution

We have created a TIB from a Machine and want to convert it to a vhd file. TI starts the job, a file with the name given is being created, after 2 mins "Successfully converted" but the vhd file is immediately deleted and doesn´t exist anymore. Any ideas ?

Thank you.

I am also having the same problem with True Image 2011. Do you have the information needed to fix this bug?

I cannot convert TIB files to VHD. The conversion creates the target VHD file then immediately shows a "success" dialog and quits. I am using the most recent update for True Image 2011.

I have the same problem - I cannot convert TIB files to VHD. The conversion creates the target VHD file then immediately shows a "errror"6 dialog and quits. I am using the most recent update for True Image 2011.6574 couse ive upgraded for the reason that 5519 does have the same problem. Im realy unsatisfied in TIH 2010 pp things worked ok.

Dear Anton ,

I have a TFS server 2008 (Hyper-V) with windows 2008 Standard 86X OS , what do i need is to send me instrctions on how to migrate from virtual server to Physical .

Thank you in advance

Personaly i have made the inverted proces phisical to virtual.
Basicaly I would do:
1. Make a test envirement (Copy of server vhd's).
2. Usinfg a PC installed TI 2011 under tools - Convert vhd to a tib archive
3. Using bootable CD - Restore the image to dissimilar hardware, providing the neededed drivers (chipset + network card)

PS: I'm not sure that TI 2011 Home can instal windows server editions (2008 R2) to dissimilar hardware, try and let us know.
