TI 2013

Thread needs solution

How long do you get chat tech support when you buy TI 2013? I thought you had it for about a year but it appears that it has expired. I have an issue with trying to backup hardrive. My destination drive was getting full, it told me to delete items so I have more room so I did. I have lots of room now but it still gives me the same error!? Any way to fix this?

The active support by Acronis is for 30 days following purchase date. Support for recovery issues is not limited.

My recommendation is that you start a new backup task which does its own cleanup in order to prevent a recurrence of the space issue.

Click on my link #2 below and look at the illustrations shown in figures 11-Full; or 11-Inc; or 11-Diff.
Change the illustrated number to fit your needs but choose one of the setup as shown in the example.
Keeping x number of recent version chains seems to work better than the option regarding space or elapsed time.

With your current backups, you should be able to estimate your space needs and set your backup scheme accordingly.

Any of these examples will provide revolving backup so that as a new backup chain is created as an old backup chain is deleted.
Its replacement is always created BEFORE a deletion occurs so you always need to allow extra space for the extra temporary use.

Thank you for your response! I did finally get the backup to work after I rebooted my computer. However, it seems that you have to change the name of the backup after deleting any of your old backups. Also, I did setup the increments to a smaller number but it doesn't seem that the check marks that you click stay ticked when you go into the menu again.
