TI 2013 latest version (Plus Pack) latest version :: Universal Restore :: Lenovo drivers don't contain *.sys, *.inf, or *.oem

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I am using 7-zip to open the Lenovo drivers that I downloaded from Lenovo. All are .exe. When I open (i.e. chipset) the .exe I see the following (see attachments). How do I point Universal Restore to the Lenovo drivers when I can't find the actual driver file's within the actual Lenovo .exe's?

Thank you in advance!!

Do not try to unzip the .exe!

Double click on the Lenovo provided .exe file. This will extract the files to the folder of your choice.

From the Readme.txt file:

Extracting file
5. Make sure to be logged on with an administrator account.
6. Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.
7. Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen.
9. In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to
select a different folder, click Browse.
10. In the Ready to Install window, click Install. All the necessary files will
be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.
