TI 2014 Don´t work @ Win 10? Really? Is this a Joke?
This is already the second version of True Image I had to buy because of change of OS because TI is not running.
At first it was TI 2013 TI 2014 for the OS 8.1 and because allegedly TI 2013 not clean at 8.1 runs but now in 2014 not to run on OS 10 is surely ridiculous.
I have 2014 now just over half a year and it is thrown away again and buy me 2015?
How about with a patch love developer?
TI 2014 does not work under OS 10. Under Drive Backup nothing is displayed under Source. The window remains empty. Under File backup way, however.
For such a tiny error could be patched, you want to sell me again 2015?
I laugh my broken.
If I should hear no more, how will you fix it, so this was my last ever bought with you product.
Your since once again the only ones with your software does again when changing difficulty and I will not re shopping with you, only to be additionally cut in the 2015 version.
NEVER

I believe that the bootable version (DVD or USB made from the 2014 iso) can create and restore an image irrespective off the OS. It does lack many of the tools that come with the installed version of Acronis, like mounting images etc.
Acronis is not publicizing this so that they can get people to buy their new "unlimited" version at an annual renewal rate of $99 per year.

I am currently running Acronis True Image 2014 on Windows 10 and I have had none of these problems.

Ramhound makes a comment worth consideration. If it works well on his system, it's possible that you can get it to work as well. You did not provide much info, but I assume that your win 10 install is an upgrade? Perhaps it's time to start clean. A bit of a job, but a clean install of windows and your applications (having made backups of data and settings) will likely do wonders for compatibility. I think it safe to say that most systems out there are long overdue for a clean install. If you choose not to do that, you might try uninstalling True Image (using whatever the suggested method is for TI 2014) and reinstalling with the latest build.

Just to be clear. I have not upgraded to Windows 10 yet. So I don't know if TI 2014 will work or not. My reasons for not upgrading to TI 2015 have nothing to do with Windows 10. By all reports TI 2015 dropped a number of features that I use in TI 2014. I'm in no rush to upgrade to Windows 10, it may be awhile before I do it. I'll wait for any issues with the Windows 10 to be identified and resolved.

Same here.
No problems here with True Image 14 on Windows 10. This worked right after the Windows 10 upgrade. Did not have to reinstall.

Acronis will not guarantee that TI 2014 will work with Windows 10.
So if TI 2014 doesn't work when I upgrade to Windows 10, then that's it for Acronis

There are never any guarantees, and keep in mind that sales of 2015 are what Acronis considers to be in their best interests, so I give as much weight to their comments as they give to my complaints of bugs (that never get acknowledged, let alone fixed). That said, I was able to successfully create and restore an image of one of the win 10 tech previews. In fact, I was able to image entire win 8 disks with 2011. Also, keep in mind that even if the windows version of 2014 won't work in your win 10 install, the Linux based Rescue Disk will (although not as conveniently, but you're not left high and dry if the windows version fails).
I've appreciated most releases of ATI (although I don't upgrade every year and I never upgrade until a version has been out for a while), but there are other great imaging programs out there, and my only loss would be that my initial purchase of one from another developer would be the initial 'buy-in'. After that, upgrade pricing returns. So really, no big deal here. If it doesn't work out, I'll try 2015 on the 30 day refund basis.
I've also appreciated 2014 (and DD 2011, 2012). And, having been using TI since 2004, I'll try 2015 if incompatibility dictates. If not, I'll wait until 2016 or maybe 17, or maybe move onto greener pastures. Time will tell, but the point is that Acronis can't ruin my day. Most times, they've 'rescued' my day.

I should mention that I had Acronis True Image 2014 installed on my Surface Pro 3 and did have issues, but I was in a hurry and I didn't troubleshoot the problem, when I got an error during the upgrade on the true image monitor driver the installer rolled back and I then uninstalled it.
I also had NOT installed the last update for True Image 2014 on my SP3 and I had done that for my desktop.
It was my main desktop that had zero problems.

Acronis TIH 2015 did neither work on my PC (Windows 8.1 latest versions und updates) nor on my Laptop (Windows 7 latest version) because the rescue CD failed. I returned to TIH 2014 build 6673, for which at least a restore of my PC has always been possible.
The update from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 succeeded without problems. Of course I immediately checked whether Acronis TIH build 6673 still works. It seems that this is the case and the backup procedure looks as before. I have also tried the rescue CD: it boots and sees all external disks. However, I have not dared to start a real recovery. Is there any recovery experience around?

I bit the bullet and used the USB on a different drive and all seems to be well.

I bought a Crucial SSD and I found an activation key for acronis true image HD 2014 in the box of the SSD. So, I installed it and tried to clone my system SDD (windows 10 and UEFI BIOS) on the new one. After the copy was made (very fast, <10 minutes), the PC booted on the new SSD but the problems began when I tried to login. It was impossible : after entering the password, a long time with the welcome message and back to the login screen or an error message about Start menu and Cortana that did not start. I tried to clone my old system SSD 3 times with small changes (uninstall classic shell, create a new profil, try to "kill" Cortana) and I got the same result. I am trying to clone my system SSD with redo backup (very slow !)

I had no problems imaging and restoring win 10 from the Linux based boot disk. ymmv.

All I can say is...good luck!

I launched Acronis on Windows, it started the process and rebooted the PC in order to run an "Acronis launcher". It looks like using a linux based boot disk ?
I also tried redo backup with no result. After that, I decided to make a clean install from iso.

I upgraded to Windows 10 Home from Windows 7 and TI 2014 runs fine. Have run backups and restores.

I don't use backup and restore, so I don't know.
I only try to use the clone disk function in order to clone a system disk on two different PC (an ASUS notebook and a desktop) and it does not work.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I am also having problems with TI2014 Cloning. If I start Acronis clone drive from within windows and try to boot to the cloned drive I get to the login screen but after login the screen either remains black or if I do see the desktop the screen keeps resetting and I never get a stable desktop. I still have a copy of Windows 8 and booted that drive and was able to clone the drive and boot to the cloned drive with no problems.
So, I downloaded TI2016 trial to verify if cloning for that version worked on Windows 10 and TI2016 does not allow cloning in the trial version! I guess I'm going to start looking for some other backup software.

Ti 2016 and 2015 are the only versions supported on Windows 10. Some folks here have reported that they have had good luck with 2014 on Win 10. YMMV. Did you try the clone while booted from the recovery cd. Highly recommended that you do this from the recovery disk.

Thanks Thomas. I tried both ways....from within Windows and from booting with the CD and neither worked. When I tried from the CD it gets to a point where it is starting the clone and I get some kind of message with 5 lines of HEX numbers with a message that say something like "Please run from a supported GPU"

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. Acronis TI 2014 was installed before the upgrade. After the upgrade, it worked without issue in Windows 10. I've backed up and restored my system disk a number of times from within the OS since upgrading. I did not encounter any hiccups.
Having said the above, I have heard that the install process will fail when you try to install Acronis TI 2014 for the first time after doing a clean install of Windows 10. I haven't personally tried this yet. So I can't confirm it to be true.

Running TI 2014 under windows 10 produces mixed results. Some users like you have had success, others not so much.
