TI Build 6053 now working on Windows 7 Home Premium

Thread needs solution

Hi
Initial Problem:
TI2010 Program loaded with no errors, but would not run.
Double clicking on TI Icon seemed to do nothing.

I then noticed that I could run TI once only after a reboot.
So I rebooted, ran TI and created a new Bootable Rescue CD.

I then tried to test the that the CD worked on a reboot and it did not.
Windows 7 started in the normal way.

I then checked the BIOS and found that the CD was not the first booting device,
so changed it to CD first, Removable Media second, and Hard Disk third.

I then rebootred to test that the bootable CD worked - and it did.

Then I shut down completely, and rebooted the Computer, and TI has been working ever since.
I cannot explain this, but maybe Acronis techs can.

The purpose for posting this - maybe it will help some or all of you who are havingf this problem.
I hope so.

This possibly may be attributed to a "warm boot" instead of a "cold boot". A cold boot, which is a turn the power off and then turn the power back on restart ensures all the hardware gets full initialization. A warm boot jumps into be BIOS and restarts from there.

If you are doing testing because of some obscure problem where it may be either hardware or software, the cold boot is preferred because it returns the PC to a more consistent state for each test.

Just a thought.
