TI Echo Server for Windows v.8.203 and 8.319

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I downloaded the last build (8.319, German) of TI Echo Server for Windows from my Acronis-Account. I installed the new version and created with "Rescue Media Builder" a ISO-file. I burned a CD and booted the Rescue Media. It could not create "RAM-Drive" and causes a "Kernel panic".

So I downloaded the "Rescue Media" image from Arconis. This version is booting correctly but it start the Echo Server for Windows version 8.203.

Has some one the same Problem??

Thorben

Hello Thorben,

If I understand you correctly you have downloaded ISO image of Acronis True Image Echo Server for Windows bootable disc from your account and it indicates build 8203 instead of 8319.

I have checked your account and also downloaded ISO image which indicates 8319, but after creating Acronis bootable disc it becomes 8203. The ISO image from your account is based on ISOLinux loader which is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. That is why the boot issue was resolved with that bootable media created with the ISO image.

I have checked our database and couldn’t find ISOLinux image of Acronis True Image Echo Server for Windows later then 8203, so it is the latest one.

I will add information concerning incorrect build number under your account to our customer listening system. The issue will be fixed as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank You.

Hello Dmitry,
thank you for answering.
Yes, you understand correct. The download in my account indicates build 8319 but after burning the ISO image and booting from the new cd the build 8203 is starting. But if this will correct some boot issues, it's OK. I thought it's an error in the software itself.

The other problem is solved, I accidental installed TI Echo Server on a mashine which has also TI Home installed, so the build of the "Rescue Media" failed, because of confusion in the data files of the two different softwares. After uninstalling TI Home and reinstalling TI Echo Server the "Rescue Media" was build correctly.

So now I have a bootable cd with ISOLinux loader which starts build 8203 and a bootable cd with Acronis loader which starts build 8319.

Think it's enough for all cases...

Thanks again...

Regards
Thorben
