TI Home 2010 and no RAID controller drivers

Thread needs solution

TI home 2010 doesn't see my HighPoint RocketRaid 1740 RAID controller, and that controller was made in 2007! How can the drivers *not* be included??
I've emailed Acronis TechSupport -- first email on Feb 13 2010; a followup one week later on Feb 20 asking if they might be able to at least reply to my issue (not the canned "Thanks for contacting Acronis" message--I did get that within 3 minutes of my initial email) -- and now it's TWO weeks since I opened my case, and STILL no response.

Tech Support is a HOT ISSUE -- please treat it as such.

Same with me, an embedded Intel raid on my Asus p4c800e-deluxe. This is from at least 2004! And now the kick in the head, THE DRIVERS WERE IN 2009!! When I boot to my 2010 rescue disk I can't see my hard drives. When I boot to my 2009 rescue disk it sees my hard drives but says my 2010 backup is corrupt! When I boot to 2010 it does a simple restore from the same backup 2009 says is corrupt. This sucks!

Hello Steve and Dave,

Please accept our profound apologies for the delay with the response and for the difficulties you've experienced.

I'll do my best to help you and resolve the issue.

Most probably, the standard version of Acronis bootable media detects your RAID controller incorrectly, so I may recommend you to use a different one. An alternate bootable media is based on another bootloader (ISOLINUX) and it includes a different hardware drivers set. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.

Please follow the below instructions to download the ISO image:

  1. Log in to your account (if you do not have one, you will need to create it);
  2. Once logged in, click My Products & Downloads:

  3. Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:

  4. Click Download:

  5. Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. See Burning an ISO Image.

Please reply to this thread if the new media still doesn't detect your RAID card, I'll be glad to assist you further.

Thank you.
