TI Home 2010 Problem with external USB-Drive NTFS

Thread needs solution

Hello,

i have a problem with Trueimage 2010 Home.

When i boot from a acronis-boot-cd and want to make a backup from my computer on my external USB-Drive (Samsung S1 Mini, 250 Gbyte, formatted as ntfs), then a cannot chose a target-location.
On the drive-overview the program tells me, my usb-drive has the following partition type:
no partition found (0x7 ntfs hpfs). Under a running Windows-XP or Windows-7 i can open und use the drive normally.

When i re-format the usb-drive with fat/fat32, then i can use the usb-drive. But i want to use it as a ntfs-drive.

I've also tried an updated boot-cd, but the error remains.

Can you help me, what to do?
(Sorry for my little bad english)

Kind regards,
Oliver Schneeweiss

On the USB drive.

Delete the old partition and recreate a new partition.

Then, reformat as NTFS.
