TI Home 2011 - Recover free space in backup files?

Thread needs solution

Is it possible to shrink .tib files when large amounts of free space are recovered from mounted images? For example you may delete a large amount of files from a .tib mounted image; at that point you might want recover the unused space shrinking the .tib to a smaller size...

Well not really. Here's why. If you delete files from a backup, what ati actually does is make an inc that records the diff, so the first file remains as large as it was plus you now have a second file too. Your best bet would be to make a new backup. Simpler to just have a new backup.
