Is TI15 compatible with linux/win dual boot?

Hi,

All posts regarding my question I found are few years old, so I will ask again.
I am planning to install ubuntu on the same SSD where I have win 8.1 now, as dual boot.

What happens if I try to backup the whole drive from within windows?
1. Will both windows and linux ext4 partitions be backed up?
2. Will they be restored without any problems as dual boot system with grub etc?
3. What happens to acronis boot loader?
4. Will I be able to restore any of those OS as a single boot system in case I need that?
