TI2010 and Dynamic disks

Thread needs solution

I'm confused. TI2010 build 5055 worked fine with dynamic disks on windows 7. It was also advertised as working with dynamic disks on release.

Now on upgrading to TI2010 build 6029 we get the message that dynamic disks are not supported and you have to pay ANOTHER 29.99 to get the plus pack?

What a rip off.

Hello,

I will take care of this situation and clarify it for you.

Please be informed that officially Acronis True Image Home 2010 does not support dynamic drives. It can be applied for previous products and for all builds (including 5055) of Acronis True Image Home 2010.

If there are dynamic or GPT disks on your machine, Acronis True Image Home will not detect them in Windows or from Acronis Bootable Media.

You can always convert a GPT disk to an MBR disk that is supported by Acronis True Image Home. See Microsoft TechNet article: Change a GUID partition table disk into a master boot record disk.

Acronis True Image Echo and Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 support dynamic and GPT disks.

That's why we have released a special add on, Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack which does support GPT and dynamics. Please refer to this article for the detailed information. Also, the detailed description about dynamic and GPT drives supported by this add on is available here.

Thank you.

Does this mean the Plus pack can be applied to previous versions of True Image (e.g. 10) and Disk Director Suite?

Is there a trial version of the Plus Pack?
